Jeanette (Hall) Whittle (52 Ancestors #8)

Jeanette Tisdall (Hall) Whittle was born on January 12, 1903 in Newport, Rhode Island to Lillian May (McIntosh) and Charles Alfred Hall.  She had four brothers, Charles, Robert (who died at age 10), Joseph, and Frederick.

In about 1923 at the age of 20 she married Frederick Thomas Whittle at Emmanuel Church in Newport, Rhode Island.  Together they had five children; Leroy, Jeanette, Margaret, and Mary Louise (Twins), and William.1280px-Emmanuel_Church_Newport_RI

She had 21 grandchildren and would start knitting them Christmas presents early in the year.

Jeanette was a Nurse at Reed and Barton Silver in Taunton, Mass. Her daughter Jeanette and MaryLou were also nurses. When she retired from Reed and Barton her daughter MaryLou took over her position.

Jeanette died on May 14, 1973 in Taunton, Massachusetts at the age of 70.

Jeanette liked to have family get togethers with her children and grandchildren, and cousins.  She also liked to visit her brothers in Newport she would take her grandchildren to Newport Beach on weekends in the summer where her brother Roy and his wife Emmy always were.
